The USA Swimming Data Behind the Fitter & Faster ASCA Age Group Coach of the Year and Top Teams Awards

Joel, a swimming coach, emphasized USA Swimming's digital transformation, including the development of a state-of-the-art database and a new mobile app. Ty Gibbs detailed the ranking system for the award, focusing on athletes aged 10-14 achieving AAA and quad A times. Patrick Murphy introduced new reporting tools, such as retention and times progression dashboards, and discussed the development of a mobile app to enhance access to performance data. The team stressed the importance of feedback and collaboration to improve data accuracy and utility.
